  • MacStash does not require an account and does not collect personal profiles.

Information We Collect

We do not collect the content you place in MacStash. The app may store local settings on your Mac, such as preferences, license state, and temporary UI state needed to run the app.

Local Data

MacStash may access files, folders, text, or links only when you drag them into the app, use sharing actions, or grant macOS permission. This data is handled locally on your Mac and is not uploaded by MacStash to our servers.

Purchases and Trials

If you start a free trial or purchase a permanent license, Apple processes the transaction. We may receive purchase entitlement status from StoreKit so the app can unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Network Access

MacStash may connect to Apple services for App Store purchase, trial, and receipt verification flows. The website may be hosted through Cloudflare, which may process standard web request logs according to Cloudflare's services and policies.

macOS Permissions

Some features may require macOS permissions, such as accessibility-related interaction, keyboard shortcut monitoring, file access, or local automation behavior. These permissions are used only to provide MacStash features you enable.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only when required by law, to protect legal rights, or to operate payment and distribution flows provided by Apple and hosting infrastructure providers.

Retention

Local app settings remain on your Mac until you change them, reset the app, or uninstall MacStash and remove its data. Website server logs, if any, are retained by hosting providers according to their own operational policies.

Your Choices

You can remove items from MacStash, revoke macOS permissions in System Settings, uninstall the app, or manage purchases and subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
